DANCE
STUDIO
A LETTER FROM YOUR DIRECTOR
In 1966 a little girl, along with her mother, walked into a tiny studio in Burro Alley in Abilene and told the lovely lady standing by the giant mirrors that she wanted to be a ballerina. That little girl was me, and the beautiful lady was Patty Harper. The rest is history! Patty Harper taught with patience, kindness and the right amount of discipline to help her students understand that through hard work you can excel.
When Ms. Patty retired in 1988, this is the kind of teacher I vowed to become. So many children have passed through the studio doors. Several students have gone on to pursue professional careers or become studio owners themselves. My hope is that everyone walked away with happy memories of their dance days and a greater appreciation for this art form.
All my love,
Ms. Mary
